Jim and Linda Haskell love living in Midtown Atlanta just four blocks from his beloved alma mater, Georgia Tech, where he received an Industrial Engineering Degree in 1975. Jim and Linda met and married while students at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where Jim earned MDiv and DMin degrees. He has served as a Youth Minister in a mega church in Texas, a Church Planter in suburban Dallas and a Senior Pastor for 31 years in churches in Kentucky, Texas, Alabama and Georgia. Before assuming the responsibilities of the Send Atlanta City Missionary (Urban Church Planting Strategist) in September 2012 he served for three years as the Executive Director/Lead Strategist for Urban Atlanta Church Planting. On January 1, 2018, Jim retired from the North American Mission Board to become the new Lead Pastor at Bridgepoint Church at Toco Hills, formerly Clairmont Hills Baptist Church. Linda is a nationally recognized authority in working with children with dyslexia and teaches third grade transition students at Woodward Academy. Jim and Linda are thrilled that their two adult children, son-in-law live close and most importantly their Granddaughter, Miller, live in the Atlanta Area. In his spare time Jim loves traveling, movies, ESPN (Linda likes HGTV) and sports especially all things Georgia Tech…GO JACKETS!
