Humility does not mean weakness or retreat; in this weeks sermon, the Apostle Peter encourages believers to stand humbly alongside one another in the journey of following Jesus, never once turning to give the Devil an opportunity to strike. “Resist him, firm in your faith,” are bold words when staring down an apex predator, but Peter has an understanding of gospel faith that the lion of this world will be destroyed by the Lion of the World to Come.
