Message: “Possession Obsession” from Jim Haskell
A message from the series “The Ten Commandments.” Pastor Jim continues our sermon series on the Ten Commandments investigating the 8th Commandment found in Exodus 20:15…”You shall not steal.” The title of the message is Possession Obsession with the emphasis being not as much on the material cost of theft but primarily the significant cost caused to relationships and personal identity. I hope you will join me as we take a fresh look at this ancient principle.

Jesus loves you! He willingly offered His life as a sacrifice and ransom for mankind. His victory over sin at the cross and over death is why we call Him Lord of lords and King of kings. We worship him as the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us. God still wants to dwell with His people, and that includes you! If you want more information on what salvation means, please send a message or email us.
Message: “Adultery: More Than A Rule” from Darren Hughes
A message from the series “The Ten Commandments.” Adultery is not just about breaking a rule, it’s a worship issue, revealing misplaced love and priorities. True faithfulness in marriage isn’t about just following rules but about treasuring Christ, who transforms our hearts and empowers us to love rightly. Pastor Darren Hughes preaches from Exodus 20:14 on the seventh commandment and how victory over this commandment and others is possible through the victory Christ secured on the cross over sin and death.

Message: “The Extraordinariness of Life” from Jim Haskell
A message from the series “The Ten Commandments.” Pastor Jim’s text for his exposition this Sunday is Exodus 20:13 and titled The Extraordinariness of Life. Yes, that is an actual word. The verse in its original Hebrew simply states Not Murder. Even though this seems to be a simple message, we will discover Sunday that the 6th Commandment creates a number of questions concerning its application. How about war, suicide, self-defense, physician assisted suicide, abortion and capital punishment?

Message: “Honor – A Promise Command” from Jimmy Baughcum
A message from the series “The Ten Commandments.” We continue our series on the Ten Commandments. Relationships can be challenging but can also be deeply rewarding. The Ten Commandments provide the believer with God’s law for flourishing in His kingdom while relating to Him and His creation. We will look into Exodus 20:12 about honoring our mother and father. Not only does this command come with a distinct promise of blessing, but it is the hinge upon which God’s commands turn to our human interactions. The first four commands focus on our relationship with God, but the last six involve human connections. Why would God’s first command on human relationships reflect the parent/child dynamic? See you Sunday to find out and gain insight on improving our relationships by applying this first interpersonal command.

Message: “The Rhythm of Rest” from Jim Haskell
A message from the series “The Ten Commandments.” We continue our study of The Ten Commandments with a message entitled “The Rhythm of Rest.” This is the 4th Commandment found in Exodus 20:8-11 and it addresses the importance of regular rest and rejoicing in our relationship with our Heavenly Father. Should Sunday be approached like any other day of the week or is there something different about it? And why Sunday rather than Saturday anyway? And what should/shouldn’t our activities consist of on the Lord’s Day? Let’s dig in this Sunday and see what scripture has to say about it!

Message: “All the Might and Splendor: God’s Name” from Zach Morgan
A message from the series “The Ten Commandments.” The warning of Exodus 20:7 is for us to refrain from using Gods name in vain or improperly. While this command is to abstain from treating Gods name with carelessness, we often forget what it means to use Gods name properly. This week, we will explore throughout the word of the Lord how God instructs us to use His name and why there is such power in it.

Message: “What Shall I Bring?” from Darren Hughes
What is fitting to bring as an offering to the King of Kings? Unlike the Old Testament sacrifices as offerings, God takes our ordinary and broken offerings and transforms them into something extraordinary when surrendered to Him. We are challenged to bring ourselves—as messed up as we are—to Christ, our community, and our calling, trusting in His power to multiply it and use us for His glory.
